Candyce Marsh Racing

Journal 08.09.06

Hello Everyone,

It’s been a busy few weeks. We just competed at the Skull Skine World Nations. Prior to that we had several weeks of testing. We qualified number 4 with a 6.72. In the first round we ran a 6.65! That’s a career best (but it would be for long!)

It is always a thrill to compete at the World Nationals. I did not really know how much I missed racing and being around my racing friends until we arrived Wednesday.  It was great to see everyone and catch up. It was so many cars, both professional and sportsman. Needless to say the weather was not as cooperative as we would have hoped to optimize our performance, but that is racing at Norwalk in August. As always I made sure to get some of the ice cream!

The most exciting part of the weekend was that I obtained my professional license! So, next time we are out I’ll be in Pro Mod. It is such an unbelievable honor to be able to compete in that class.

My crew really worked hard and I would not be able to do it without them!

We are getting everything serviced and back together to do some testing and racing locally in preparation for the World Finals at Rockingham Dragway. We have made some progress, but have a ways to go!

Special Thank-you to: Al & Deborah Morgan (my uncle and aunt) and Evans Grove Baptist Church for your support!

I know we have had a few ‘hiccups’ on the website, but everything has been fixed.

So, keep checking out the website for more information about our schedule and pictures!!

Thanks for reading.

See you at the races. ;-)
